Can't register console that I won

Somi won a Xbox one from that every2minutes promo a while back. My Xbox was having issues, so I was gonna register it and possibly send it for repair. I try registering it, I kept getting error messages.I contact support, they say its registered to someone
else.its only been in my possession since it shipped. Anyone else having problems?

Since the Xbox Live Rewards program is ending in your region, you cannot currently register into Xbox Live Rewards. You will have to wait for the Microsoft Rewards program to being in your region before registering into that program.

Good day. I am trying to register for X-Box Live Rewards program. I am in Canada so I keep getting a message that the program is switching to Microsoft Rewards at the end of the month and directs me to the Microsoft awards page — which doesn't exist for
Canadian users as of yet.

This is essentially an endless loop that results in no way to register for the program.

Any suggestions or aid you can provide me with would be helpful.

If they said it's registered to someone else and you have the serial number to give them then they should be able to do something about it.

 

I gave them serial number and the xboxz I'd from the settings in the console.

 

They should be able to register that for you. That's not right. I would call them back and ask to speak with a supervisor. You probally got someone that is lazy and doesn't feeling like doing anything today.

You can also do it over the phone when you call support, say "Hardware" when prompted and it will walk you through an automated registry process.

They escalated it to their global escalation team or whatever. They emailed me and said no need proof Im the owner, said I need reciept...which is impossible. They said to contact every2minutes..doubt they can do anything...I emailed them anyways explaining
the situation.

Look back in your emails. You should have a receipt for shipping it to you.

 

I back what Listed Mia 510 just wrote, you should have an email of some sort for shipping, and one to announce you won it.

 

No shipping reciept or anything, but I did send screenshots of emails saying I won and saying it shipped. Didn't help. Dont have my phone right now I'll try that later..tbh itnprob wont work if its registered already but worth a shot.

 

Sounds a little "shady" to me.
