Can't refund gifted game

No as they are one-time.use

As per the terms of the gift once redeemed it can't be refunded

Gifts can only be refund if it hasn't been redeemed

If any of those conditions are met.you cannot refund it

The refund policy otherwise only apply for Purchased games not gifted games under 14 days or 2hours of gameplay

Gift games.conditions are unused or Same region as the gifter that's it

This is the same with any giftcard

Well no gift codes can't be unredeemed you can only refund gifts thats weren't redeemed or not working

Retail codes that weren't gifted over xbox can't be refunded as ms wasn't the source

Only the base game can.be shared not vault and you can't just buy vault as it only applies to digital game owners and yes this isnt the only company that does this

This applies to.upgraded from.square etc

You can definitely request a refund however, in-game currencies can't be purchased as a gift. You can purchase an Xbox Gift card and send it to them so they can purchase it directly on their account.

You would be the one to have to refund it since you purchased it. If it doesn't give the option at http://account.microsoft.com try going through https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/subscriptions-billing/buy-games-apps/refund-orders If it still doesn't, you'll need to contact support and speak to billing. You can request a call back at http://support.xbox.com/contact-us If you don't see the option, change the category/topic until you do.
