    CAN'T REDOWNLOAD A GAME FROM GAME PASS


    last night my friend accidentally deleted GTA 5(446 GB) off my xbox. We tried for an hour to get back but no luck. I got the standard version on the game pass and now I have to buy the other version because the base game is not purchasable. Is there a way to get it back or do I need to buy the upgraded version?

    If someone could please let me know I would appreciate it a lot. thanks

    Since GTA 5 was removed from Game Pass a while ago, you would have to purchase it if you want to redownload it and play it again.

    To find it again to redownload it for free go to My Games and Apps > Ready to install.

    If it's a game pass game please make sure you have an active game pass subscription here:

    https://account.microsoft.com/services/

    And you should be able to redownload it from either the ready to install or the game pass library again if you have game pass.

    If you don't have game pass you will have to purchase the game fully to continue playing it.

    I have the same issue, also on steam, has been almost 2 weeks now. I've already had game pass on this account in the past so i can't exactly redownload it from the microsoft store without having to pay

    It sounds like you're either dealing with Xbox Live gold issue or your account lost the license towards AC3. You'll have to ask Microsoft support to investigate and see if they can find the cause of the missing game.
