Can't redeem Xbox Live Gold subscription code

We purchased an Xbox Live Gold 12-month subscription for my son for Xmas. We tried to redeem it online, but got this response:

I enter this code + just the first and then just the last sections, but in each case the response is

Sorry! No Support articles were found for "789d1d8e".

So instead we try entering the code directly on the console. But, the response now is that this code has already been redeemed.

So now it's Xmas day and my son can't play what he was looking forward to playing for about two months now. We would appreciate some guidance on this as soon as possible.

Now I'm not sure how this forum works, i.e. am I supposed to keep checking manually for a reply or am I notified at my personal email when a reply shows up. If the former, I would appreciate being cc'd at my personal email *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***.

Unable to redeem 12month membership

Same problem here. My xbox live gold subscription ended yesterday and can't redeem my 12 month subscription code.

 

'Check the instructions that came with your code. You might need to redeem it on a different webpage.'

Keep in mind that you can't redeem trial codes (for 48hours or 14days of Xbox Live Gold) if you currently have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription.

Remeeming errors can be caused by issues on the account itself. Be sure to check if your billing information is correct at
http://billing.microsoft.com and also check
http://account.microsoft.com/services for any outstanding amount issues, these need to be sorted prior to being able to redeem codes.

After that try redeeming the code on both xbox console and via xbox.com/redeemcode

Also check that the Xbox Live account , the console and code all match region wise, using different regions for any of them cause issues too.

If you can't find anything wrong and it is still not working, best thing to do is to contact official Xbox Support via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat at
Contact Us | Xbox Support they can do a more indepth look into this issue.

 

Thanks for your reply. I have tried the contact-us approach, looking for a phone # -- but could not find one. Nor was it obvious to me what category of problem to select.

In either event, the access to Gold features has now mysteriously been enabled. So this immediate problem is solved, but if you know of a phone # for Xbox support that I can use for future reference, that would be great.
