    Hi support I have purchased 6 months live gold on a promotion. I can't redeem it though I get this message. (the store and xbox are both on UK)

    Changing REGION! Help me!

    Hello, I just bought an Xbox 360. I used my old account to login to Xbox Live. Unfortunately that account region was not my local one. Now I can't redeem any code, because of restricted region. What should I do, how can I change it?

    P.S. I can't even redeem my Xbox live 1 month gold member card.

    That would be why your account region must reflect your actual region

    If you don't live in an xbox live region you can't redeem it

    Redeeming a code in US Region by mistake

    Hello, first it's a pleasure to be able to help you today.

    My name is welcome to the community.

    Hello Frosty, the error message that appears regarding region, has to do with the Live Gold region you redeemed.

    If you are in the UK but redeemed US Live Gold to upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate, you will need to redeem a Game Pass Ultimate from the same region as Live Gold.

    What if I can't access Games with Gold even though I have a paid subscription?

    When you try to access Games with Gold, make sure you're using the gamertag that has the Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. If you redeemed a promotional Xbox Live Gold token as part of
    your subscription, you won't be eligible for Games with Gold. If you used a prepaid code to sign up for Xbox Live Gold, make sure it was successfully redeemed.

    If you live in one of the countries or regions listed above under "Offer and eligibility" and still can't access Games with Gold, contact Xbox Support.

    Has it already been redeemed if so then it can't be refunded

    Code are one time use

    And refund policy doesn't apply to redeemed gifts

    What game is it and for what system

    Also if he doesnt live in an xbox live region or not the same region as you

    He can't redeem any codes regardless because of the region lock

    You have to find an etailer in his region
