Can't redeem Gold code

So yesteraday I bought a Xbox live gold 12 month membership code, then when I went to redeem it it just says 'something happened on our end Try again in abit' so I waited 3 hours later still can't redeem, nor can I redeem it today either. If anyone knows
why this is happening please let me know.

Same here, also got xbox live gold 12 months and been trying for about 48h and still not working. Please fix this.

Hello,

It happened to me before and the trick was to restart the Xbox completely by shutting down the Xbox, removing the power for 2 minutes and reconnecting everything then try again.

Does it solve the problem ?

i think you can't redeem the code when there is still an active Gold subscription in your account.

just wait until the Gold was expired and you can redeem it right away.

It doesn't help. I can't also redeem my Xbox Live Gold code from my computer.

Okay, quick update! I tried redeeming the code with a different account which doesn't have Live Gold and it works. I didn't click Redeem but it does work. This leads me to believe that I can't redeem a game I already have through Games With Gold.

I'm sorry but more context is needed. You can't buy Gold digitally or is the code you're trying to redeem not working?
