Can't redeem Gears of War (1) code.

The code was promotional and came with Gears of War 4.

Had two conversations with Answer Tech and they told me to post here.

Second one was with a tech called: Ivan G. who said he will back me up .

PLZ help，I can't redeem this code for gears of war 1

 

Can't redeem a code

I bought gears of war 4 and it included the 4 previous games from the 360. I can only redeem the codes of gears 2 and gears Judgment and can't redeem those of gears 3 and gears 1

 

Reference codes are actually only used by phone and chat support so forum support does not have access to that information.

What error message/error code do you receive when you try redeeming the code? Does your account region match your physical location?

If your getting any error like "There went something wrong, we have tracked down the issue and are investigating. Please try again later." then its a currentlly known issue and they are working on it.

Had a long Support Chat about that and they said they are aware of it and looking into it.

So we just need to have a little bit patience

Is one of the errors I get. I also had at least 2 more error codes different than this one and also had the message xD 2Bad4You mentioned. My account does not match my physical location - but I redeemed an xbox code in the past (Alan Wake). ( I am currently
in Bulgaria and Xbox doesn't offer support there).

 

That would actually be the problem. Not all games are region locked so some will work and some won't. Some of the Gears games are region locked and not available in all areas. So in order to download them, your region has to match your physical location
and you have to live in a region where the game is available for download.

So what you are telling me is that no matter what I try I will never enjoy all the games from the gear of wars series?

 

Unfortunately yes. Not by downloading them digitally anyway. Since Bulgaria is not a supported country, any region locked games would not be available for download there.
