Can't redeem codes

I've been trying since 3:30 pm yesterday to redeem my 1 year xbox live membership and it won't accept. I've called three or four times and each time it's just, "We're really sorry, but it's down. It should be back up in a couple of hours, just try back then."
OR try again tomorrow. Look, I understand that this is a challenging obstacle, and I appreciate that y'all are trying hard to rectify the problem, but try as I might not to do so, I'm starting to loose patience. I really am trying to keep it cool, but since
y'all require having Internet to play MOST of your games (which is infuriating when you just wanna play alone) I can't play right now. What is the deal? When can I expect to use the thing I paid for?

Need help redeeming my xbox live code

I tried redeeming the code in my browser on my computer using these instructions, big mistake. It said "thank you, you redeemed your code" and then exited me out. No gamertag registration whatsoever. I thought the whole point of redeeming my code was to create a gamer tag, but no just exits me out. I then tried redeeming my code on my xbox (so that I could create the gamer tag) and it said "sorry, code already redeemed."

so what the... what do I do now?

the codes i had yesterday would not work. i assume you simply redeem them on the marketplace "redeem code" section

 

And now it's been 18 hours since I posted this and no response. AND the codes still won't go through. what are y'all doing? Customer in distress over here, yo!
