    Can't redeem code


    So, I have been trying for THREE DAYS STRAIGHT to redeem a one year Xbox Live Gold card, but I keep getting the message Something went wrong. I always get the following error code

    XBOS1004

    2017/04/16

    Someone PLEASE HELP! It does this on Xbox One, AND on PC!

    Need help redeeming my xbox live code

    I tried redeeming the code in my browser on my computer using these instructions, big mistake. It said "thank you, you redeemed your code" and then exited me out. No gamertag registration whatsoever. I thought the whole point of redeeming my code was to create a gamer tag, but no just exits me out. I then tried redeeming my code on my xbox (so that I could create the gamer tag) and it said "sorry, code already redeemed."

    so what the... what do I do now?

    does anyone else have a code they are not using.

    the codes i had yesterday would not work. i assume you simply redeem them on the marketplace "redeem code" section

    I'm sorry to hear that you guys are receiving these errors. I will try my best to help you guys and get you on your way.

    Have you tried entering the code online? Sometimes this may let the code go through. (Redeem Online)

    If that didn't work, there is a page with different types of ways to input the code onto your account! (Xbox Live Codes)

    If both of the links didn't fix your issue, you can contact the support team so they can take a deeper look. (Contact Support)

    There are also the reasons that your billing information aren't fully correct. In that case you may check that here. (Billing Information)

    You can also check your security, this can sometimes interfere with this. (Security Check)

    the 1st one woket fore me but on my xbox it sill says my gold is going to expire soon but this was the date be for 5/13/17 and this is the date it is going to expire now 8/11/17 so it's still a little broken but it is ok i got my time so i am good

    Once you redeem a code, it is linked to the gamertag that activated it. You can't redeem the same code on another gamertag.

    You can't change the code's region. You can only redeem codes that are meant for the region there are for. So if you are in the USA, then you can only redeem codes for the US region.
