    Can't redeem an xbnox live gold code.


    I bought a 3 month xbox live gold membership, for my son's xbox one...but when I try to redeem it, it recognises what the code is for, but when I press redeem it won't complete. I recently spoke to someone on the community support forum, who suggested I
    try adding a payment option on my microsoft/xbox account and then after 24 hours, try redeeming the code again. It still doesn't work. I keep trying to find a way to contact Microsoft regarding this, but whether I select chat with someone, or request a call
    back, I always get prompted to enter an "error code" and "related service request #" Without both of these fields filled, it will not allow me to request a chat or request a call back. I have the error code, but no related service request #. Does anyone know
    a telephone number I can call direct, without having to fill out the online form please? Many thanks in advance.

    Keep in mind that you can't redeem trial codes (for 48hours or 14days of Xbox Live Gold) if you currently have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription.

    What I think he's referring to is that he redeem code, however you can't play on Xbox Live. Did you redeem the code on Xbox.com? If yes, it takes a few hours for the gold membership to activate on your account

    Okay, quick update! I tried redeeming the code with a different account which doesn't have Live Gold and it works. I didn't click Redeem but it does work. This leads me to believe that I can't redeem a game I already have through Games With Gold.
