Can't redeem a code.

Hello i get a CoD Ghost code like as gift but i cant redeem that. I type that code it says Call of Duty Ghosts then i click to Confirm and it says only: "Something went wrong."

Is problem on my side or no?

Hey ScienceofKaboom! Thank you for reaching out to us. It seems there is definitely a region issue that is affecting your account possibly. The pre-paid codes for games or downloadable content are region locked, so you can only redeem a code that is bought
in the same region that your Xbox and account are set up. It's important for both to be the same, you can make sure of your region on account.microsoft.com. For the Xbox settings, I would recommend trying a

Soft Factory Reset to start over with your region settings and reset the Xbox's operating system. It won't delete your content if you select Keep My Games and Apps. You will need to redownload profiles onto the Xbox. For the regions listed on your account,
check out this
link and I would also recommend to contact
Xbox Support so they can review the regions that are on your account and what is listed in the store for you as far as the currency of the region is concerned.

Can't redeem a Code

Hey everyone,

so here is my Problem:

I'm currently living in Germany and I've purchased a second hand Xbox One over amazon.de. When it arrived I set it up with my microsoft account with Germany as location and with Englisch (United Kingdom) as language region to, you know, play the games in
English. I also added a german credit card and purchased the Halo Master Chief Collection and Halo 5.

Everything was fine until I wanted to purchase Halo Reach. Somehow it showed me the prices and purchase information in Spanish not in English (I lived in Spain some years ago), and when I went on to buy it, it told me that an error had occured and that I
couldn't buy this game at the moment. I should try again later.

Since it kept happening I searched on Google and then checked my account information. Strangely the country of my german credit card had changed to Spain (the rest of the address remained the same) and I thought that maybe because of this the payment for
the game couldn't be done. Since I wasn't able to change it back to Germany I deleted it and added the card again with Germany as Country.

However, the Information on Halo Reach still remained in spanish and now the credit card wasn't even shown. It wanted me to add a spanish card. I checked google, my xbox, my microsoft and my skype account and found out that the skype account still had a
spanish address. Since the other accounts had Germany as location I thought that maybe the problem was lying there. I changed it, but no improvements.

I then changed the language region on the xbox to Germany, again nothing. Halo Reach still in Spanish without credit card. Ok, curse it then, I thought and bought a download code for Reach on amazon.de for the regions Germany and Austria. Since the language
region and the location of the Xbox were set on Germany I thought that it should work right? Nope.

The instructions of amazon gave me two options to activate the code:

1° It told me to go to live.xbox.com/de-DE/RedeemCode to activate it. This site however redirects me to https://redeem.microsoft.com/enter?ref=xboxcom&mstoken=
were it tells me that I should check the instructions that came with the code because it could be possible that I need to activate it somewhere else. There is nowhere else, even the site on xbox.com directs me to the direction above or to https://redeem.microsoft.com/
where it says the same.

2° The second option is to activate it over my Xbox one. But when I type it in, it firstly seems to recognize the code since I can accept Halo Reach as a gift, but then, after accepting it, it tells me that "this article can not be acquired in the selected
language at this moment" and that I should change my language region (it's set to Germany however).

So either the game code is [Mod Removed-Profanity] or there is a massive [Mod Removed-Profanity] somewhere on microsoft's servers. Since I somehow see information in German, Spanish and sometimes even in English-US (I don't
even know why) I tend to believe that it is the second.

Help. Since it seems that Microsoft can only afford part-time employees with my money and the support chat is deactivated at this time I need the community.
