Can't redeem 3 month Xbox Live code

I bought a prepaid 3 month XBL gold code on Amazon today because my subscription runs out soon. I bought the code, went to redeem it on the Xbox website, I click confirm, and then I click redeem in the next window so I know the code works, but after a few
seconds it says "Something went wrong. Give it another try. If this happens again, let us know by entering the code below at xbox.com/errorhelp so we can investigate."

And puts this at the bottom of the window:

I tried entering the code on my 360 and the code works on there too, but when I select "redeem" all it basically says is that it didn't work and to try something else.



I have no idea why this is happening because I've done this several times in the past and never had a problem. I already paid for it so I really want this to work. I looked up the code and this guy recently has the same same problem with a 12 month he bought
from the MS store

I don't know if he got it fixed because there's no posts in it. I looked around some more and it seems several people all have this problem. But it looks like the only way they got it to work was to wait until their subscription expired. I REALLY don't want
to to do that and shouldn't have to.

Erm. This is tricky. See, you bought microsoft's content on a 2nd/3rd party service , so , you can TRY calling support, but if that doesnt work, you need some way to contact amazon.

Calling MS isn't going to do any good. They are just going to tell me to wait until my subscription expires.

I guess as long as my tenure doesn't go away I don't really care, but I still don't like it.

I could get my money back from Amazon, but I would still need a code to renew my XBL so that really doesn't do me any good either.

same here for about a month.... they told me nothing on support chat. I'm wondering, that will there be any compensations for the past few weeks errors? No downloads, no redeemnig, anything... this is just sad.
