Can't redeem 12 Month Xbox Live card? *Help Please*

Now I can't even redeem an xbox 12-month gold subscription card.

If your son redeems the 12 month gift card, the recurring billing will be paused for 12 months.

So while you can't exchange Gift cards (unless the store where the card was bought takes them back), you could save the money you usually pay for the recurring billing, and buy him something for that in 12 months.

You can't remove a card while a card is paying for the active subscription, so this story doesn't add up.

Call up support, they will be able to cancel the 12 month renewal, refund the charge if it is within a certain period, and then redeem your 12 month card.

I watched the video and tried to redeem the gift card that way and it will work but what I would like to do considering Xbox Live for 12 months is on sale right now is use this gift card for that but when I go to the Microsoft store and I click on deals
and redeem a code for the 12-month membership at the discounted price at tells me that their code is not found, although it does work the other way which is the 6-month option but I'm aiming for the 12-month

Same issue here. Can't redeem 12 month card. If an employee could email me a solution that would be great.
