Can't redeem 12 month Live Gold, support chat not working!

It's almost 2 weeks now I can't use my prepaid Live Gold code. 4 times contacted chat support, every time heart different stories, same stupid "We so sorry, you are our valuable customer, bla bla bla" you know this is ok first and maybe second time, but
not third and forth time when you contacting support about same issue, this is above frustration now.

1. Can't redeem 12 month Live Gold membership. Error:

2. My region is UK, i have added credit card, and successfully activated 1 month Gold Memberchip (first month for free).

3. My code is correct, tried enter in console and in web page, no results.

4. Tried log off, shut down console, use another browser, nothing helped.

5. Tried to switching regions and entering code, tired almost all regions, same error. Prepaid Code is Italian if it's matter.

This is idiotic and pathetic situation, support can't figure out why their company prepaid code doesn't work. Money was paid, no services provided. Looks like scam.

BTW what set me off was the fact that I just purchased a code for 12 months of Live Gold and I'm not able to redeem it because....... It's Live is not working. *sigh*

 

Unable to redeem 12month membership

Same problem here. My xbox live gold subscription ended yesterday and can't redeem my 12 month subscription code.

 

The error you posted suggests a region issue. Is your gamertag set for the same region that you live in and did you purchase the membership card for the region that your gamertag is set for?

Remember that Gold cards are region locked and can only be used for the region (country) that they were set up for.

 

Card was bought in our store (one of the biggest country el. accessories shop), I had no idea about region locks (well why to sell things that don't work in that country), also support didn't mentioned anything about regions, they said "Your code is Ok,
maybe it's because last update, or maybe because you don't have active credit card record.". Well I did entered my credit card and activated 1 month trial. Spent 57$ for nothing. I guess there are no refunds for such things...

I live in Lithuania gamer tag set to UK now (forgot to mention that support told me to change it for "workaround", didn't work how you see).

Another MS joke: logged in today and boom, I'm not Gold anymore, 1-month trial disappeared after 4 days. But I can still activate another Trial for month...

System completely sucks...

 

Ok that trial doesn't work anymore:

This payment option is used on as many accounts as it is allowed to be. Remove it from those accounts and try again, or add a different payment option.

Sorry to hear it. Because you say support had you change the gamertag to a different region and your Gold membership no longer seems to be working you will need to call phone support again to get this worked out.

I Have the same Problem, i just bought a 1 month Code from a website, after i tried to redeem it, it just doesnt work. so i think i just got scammed, so i tried to get the another by answering question at Doritos (Facebook) so i get the code, i tried to
redeem it, but it just doesnt work.

For future reference you should create your own thread to get an issue solved.

Which country do you live in and which country is your tag set up for? It's possible that the codes you are trying to use are for a different country than your gamertag is set to. All Gold memberships are region locked and cannot be used outside the country
they were intended for.

Have you tried the code on your console? If not, give it a try and post any 8 digit error code you may receive. It is also possible that the codes had either been previously used before you got them or they were not activated before you received them.

 

As said support: it's known issue, that all. They said wait 24h and try again should be ok.

Lesson learned: don't buy prepaid codes. Don't try to migrate account to another country if possible. If your country officially not supported, after un-boxing pick some country from official supported list, UK etc...
