Can’t recover Xbox account – I have Discord and Steam linked, need higher-level help

Hello,

I’ve been trying to recover my Xbox account, but I no longer remember the full email address it was registered with. I’ve already contacted regular Microsoft Support, but unfortunately, they were unable to help me recover the account without the complete email.

However, I have strong proof of ownership, including:

My exact gamertag

The serial number of the Xbox console I used

A list of games I bought and played

Active Game Pass subscriptions I had on that account

Detailed game saves I remember

And most importantly — the account is linked to my Discord and Steam profiles, both of which I currently control and can verify ownership of.

I understand that support agents have limited tools, but I am asking for this case to be escalated to someone with the ability to assist based on account linkage through external services (like Discord or Steam).

I’m more than willing to verify all sensitive data privately with an authorized Microsoft representative if necessary.

Please, let me know how to proceed. This account contains significant purchases and memories, and I believe I’ve provided enough to prove ownership.

I'm sorry you have this problem. Follow the instructions below for a solution.

Aspects that you should take into account:
You cannot mix Discord friends with Xbox friends. A Discord voice channel will contain your Discord friends, while an Xbox group chat will contain your Xbox friends.

Discord voice channel audio cannot be transmitted via Twitch streaming.
Discord is not available in all countries or regions.
Initial tasks

To add Discord to your Xbox, you'll first need to link your Xbox and Discord accounts in one of the following ways.
Note You will only be asked to link the first time, unless you unlink your Discord and Xbox accounts. If you previously linked your Xbox and Discord accounts before August 2022, you may need to link your accounts again to access this feature.

For more information on linking to social media accounts, go to:

Link your social media accounts to Xbox
Select your avatar > Connections.
Select Add and under Add new connection, select Xbox.
Select Continue, then follow the instructions to sign in to your Microsoft account.
Select Authorize to connect your Xbox and Discord accounts. When you're done, your accounts will be linked.

Can not link/relink Discord to Xbox

I have tried everything to make Discord work on Xbox but it is always the same issue. It is telling me to relink when I have already linked.

Many people are experiencing the same issue as me so this could not be a problem on the user side it is an issue between Discord and Xbox and it needs to be resolved.

Sorry to hear you are having issues, I would suggest you take a look at the Reset or recover your Microsoft account support
page. If you can’t reset your account, you may need to complete the recovery form (link is on that page).
