cant read my messages

so i went on my xbox one and it said i had 2 unread messages yet when i go on there it don't show them so i went on wolfenstein and my mate messaged me so i went to read it and nothing there so now i have 3 unread messages iv tried reading them from smartglass
and its the same i have done a hard restart and still the same has anyone else had this problem

My main account is banned untill 9999. I have 75 news messages when i connected me on xbox.com, but i cant read because im banned... I can check my friend lists but i cant read my messages.

75 news messages... Im sad. There is a solution to be able to read? Please.

They don't appear on: xbox.com, 360 smartglass, One smartglass

Try clearing your System Cache.

1. On the face of the console is an illuminated Xbox logo. Press and hold it for 8 seconds. This will shut the console off instead of putting it in Standby mode.
   
2. Wait about a minute.
3. Turn the console back on. Either by pressing the logo again, or using the controller.
   
4. The console will begin a boot sequence. This clears your System Cache and helps clear out the clutter that may have built up.
   
5. This is different from a Hard Reset. Hard Resets don't necessarily take care of most issues. And shouldn't be done too frequently.
   

 

this could work for my consol, but that don't solve the problem that i can't read this messages on the apps, or on xbox.com. And yes, i really got this messages.

And now for Step 2. Go to Profile Protection and clear your profile from all devices, with the exception of your primary console. Once you have completed both steps, sign back in
to your account on both SmartGlass and your Console. Additionally, make sure the SmartGlass feature is activated on your Console for your profile.

If the problem persists, try uninstalling SmartGlass from your phone, resetting your phone, and then redownloading it.

 

its ok i found out what was wrong... too many messages in my inbox

I've just had this exact same problem. Turns out I'm the same, too many messages.

Maybe this something for Xbox to solve? Either delete old messages when the inbox is full or even give a little message saying "your inbox is full please delete some messages". This would help a lot xbox. Also maybe a delete all option?

 

I have this same issue but I only had 7 messages in the inbox and I deleted them all and tried all of the above.

 

How long does "banned" messaging work? How long does it last? Because i got trolled by 10 year olds the other day, and I went to block them so I wouldnt "fly off the handle" and when I blocked them they continued sendin me messages even with them on my "who
ive blocked list".... -_-' (thanx microsoft) In my frustration with that, I may have cussed a couple of them out. So in the process of dealing with a system that didnt work as promised, im the one who got penalized in the end of it for using some words, that
really dont mean a thing, and a handful of kids figured out how to get through the system. Quiet off putting considering we do PAY for these devices and services... Anyway we can reverse this? Or can anyone tell me how long this very flawed and unjust system
lasts. I dont own a mic, so its not like I can talk to my friends at all... Messaging is what i got. lol Thank you.
