    Can't re-install the xbox app (beta)


    I was enjoying Game Pass but most games wouldn't install to my secondary drive, I read in a thread that if you re-installed it to the secondary drive that it would let you install all of the games on that drive.

    Unfortunately, now that I've uninstalled it, I downloaded it again and tried to launch the installer it's giving me "Looks like something went wrong. We weren't able to install the app (0x80070005)"

    I've seen a ton of threads with similar issues but none of the fixes seem to work and most are locked so I'm not sure where to go for any further help besides making a new question here. I've already tried resetting the store, re-installing gaming services
    via the CMD and a few other fixes but haven't been able to get anything that will let me install the app again.

    Really hoping there's a way to fix this beyond just reformatting windows.

    Appears like the latest round of windows updates fixed it.

    Not only can I install the app again but it's letting me install games to a secondary drive.

    It's too bad they're not actively trying to support anyone that's willing to pay them for a Beta program too. I was super excited about this but the lack of support and general inability to troubleshoot their own software on their own operating system
    has me contemplating switching from Windows and xbox altogether, good thing the PS5 is coming out soon.

    I wish it was that easy.

    I'm on Version 1909 (OS Build 18363.657). I just updated again last night and tried the install once more and it didn't work.

    I'm also the only account on this computer so switching to an admin account isn't possible since I'm the admin account.

    If you press Windows key + R, type in winver, what Windows 10 are you using? because if you are lower than 1909, maybe an update of Windows may fix issue like this with Game Pass PC (beta).
