    Can't re-download my pre-order codes for Gears of War on my new Xbox One


    I had to get a new Xbox One as my previous one died, and it won't let me re-download my pre-order codes to my new Xbox, the characters that won't re-download are Savage Kantus, Golden Hunter, Golden Miner, Savage Drone, Savage Grenadier Elite. When going
    to my xbox one games on xbox.com they are there but when clicking on the item its says 'ooops! something happened to this page' and nothing shows and I can't re-download them. I think its something to do with them being pre-order codes and not being available
    on the marketplace currently, for example if I click on Golden Hunter it does load but wont let me redownload, I think this is because the golden hunter is currently available to download via the marketplace whereas the other codes arent so don't even try
    to load. If you could help me with this as I spent a lot of money to get all the codes that would be great - Thanks

    Gears of War 1,2,3, Judgement codes from 4 pre-order are Duplicates.

    I was messaged my download codes for Gears of War 1,2,3 and Judgment on xbox for my pre-order of 4. They were sent in 2 messages with 2 codes each but the 2 codes in each message were identical. I could only download Gears 1 and Gears 3.

    The first message was supposed to have both Gears of War 1 and 2, but had two of the same codes for Gears 1

    the second message was supposed to have both Gears of War 3 and Judgement, but only had duplicate codes for Gears 3

    Hey there Shobberz!

    Sorry to hear about the issue! Just to clarify, are you able to see these characters in the Ready to Install section on your Xbox One console? If you haven't already, you can check for these characters by trying the following steps:

    • From the Home screen on your Xbox One console, navigate to My Games & Apps.
    • Under the Games tab, select Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and press the Menu button.
    • Select Manage Game and then check for the missing characters in the Ready to Install section.
    Give the suggested steps a try and be sure to let us know the results. Thanks in advance!

    Gears of War 2 is available now on the backwards compatability for xbox one, if you pre-ordered the Gears of War remaster for xbox one you should have received codes as a verification of this.

    We don't have any news to share regarding the estimated delivery of codes for digital pre-orders for Gears of War 4. Please refer to the
    Official Gears of War 4 pre-order page which states:

    Physical copies of the game will come with codes for each of the four titles to download via Xbox Live. For those who purchase digitally, your codes will be sent via Xbox Live message – we’ll be sharing more information on digital distribution
    closer to launch.
