    Can't purchase gold, but can still purchase other items


    So I have been trying to purchase an Xbox gold membership but it keeps telling me that they don't have authorization and or to check my billing info or contact my bank and then the error code 80190848. But the confusing part is that I am still able to purchase
    other items(I bought a game to try and test it thinking it wouldn't work, but it worked). Its only the gold that is not working for me. So I'm wondering if this is a problem other people are having as well and what would be the solution.

    This is my first time purchasing a gold membership directly from the xbox, all my other purchases have been through the xbox prepaid cards.

    Hello,

    You can't purchase deals with gold with shared gold members, however, you can still make the account the Home Xbox and other accounts can play the game/content you purchase.

    Trouble purchasing

    Can't purchase the live gold to play but can purchase movies still on Xbox video with no problems? No issues with card but still always declines with the gold. Cleared cache already and I've updated and restarted a million times. Nothing is working

    You can't purchase deals with gold with shared gold members, however, you can still make the account the Home Xbox and other accounts can play the game/content you purchase.

    Unfortunately items you purchased are tied to your account and can't be transferred to other accounts.

    You have to make a purchase on the console. You can't use the balance to purchase gold, so that's why it won't work with that. If it's not enough to cover the total amount of an item, you can split a payment by using a credit card first and it will ask if
    you want to use your remaining balance.

    This can't be done.

    Gold is attached to the gamertag that purchased it. You would need to purchase a new subscription for the other account.
