Can't purchase games even though I have money?

So, I am a long-standing xbox user and I seem to have encountered an annoying bug. It's happened to me twice. First, I was going to buy a game, but when I press confirm on the screen that shows the game, its price, and the money on my account, it doesn't
let me buy it. When I hit confirm, it brings me to the screen of "how do you want to pay the rest". I waited a day to see if it was a bug or if Xbox was updating my currency or something, but that didn't help. Instead I just bought the entire game using PayPal.
Then it happened again today. I attempted to download Far Cry 4 onto my Xbox One, but it doesn't let me. I have $62.06 on my account and the game is $59.99, but when I press confirm to buy it, the Xbox still brings me to the "how do you want to pay the rest
screen". If I need more money on my account then I will buy it, but I'm hoping I don't need to. Does anyone know a solution?

Ok I understand, I'll need to purchase full membership then inorder to play what I want to play online. Thanks.

Trial codes don't change your account status to gold. They only give you access to some benefits of online multiplayer. They will not work with all games or all game modes.

What is your tax rate where you live? Here in Canada it's 13%. That means that $59.99+13%=$67.79. If your tax is a similar amount then you do not have enough on your account. You can either purchase another currency card or use your Paypal account to
cover the difference in cost.

Here is the thing tho, the purchase isn't there for two $30 dollar vbucks, so that means I can't get a refund. Even though I have had money for it come out of my account.

If anyone is surprised at this they are really naïve. Once your warranty expires Microsoft is like any other company, they have your money and they don't care that is unless you're willing to pay them more money.

Notice how even at this moment I can't sign into games because core services Xbox Live is down even though I have paid my subscription, but I can sign into the website to purchase games and give them more money. Will I get any compensation for lack of services?
NO. But they're ok they already have my money.
