Cant Purchase Games as Region keeps changing to USA from UK

Hi All,

I hope someone could help.

For some unknown reason recently when I go to buy a game on Xbox One, Smart Glass or Xbox.com it keeps showing me the items in the USA store instead of the UK store.

Meaning I have no payment options or ways to buy games as they are in $ rather than £.

I have not made any changes to my account and when accessing my Microsoft account and payments it all has my location as UK.

Anyone else have this happen, DYING TO PRE-ORDER HALO 5!!!

Locale Problems

Why would changing your account region (Migration) affect the ability to play with UK Players?

I am from the UK, my region is the UK and I find plenty of USA players.

Does strike me as odd if I'm honest.

I cant change xbox live account region/country

Try go on xbox.co.uk and then it should load up the Uk side of things.. if not i suggest you look on your xbox to where its set.. either Uk or Usa?? and even more.. - pre order from amazon or game

Hello, did it state that game was region locked? Like it can only be brought from USA to USA or UK to UK...not USA to UK it will be region locked. Does friend live in same region??

Since GT regions can not be changed you would need to start a new account if you wanted to use the USA market place.

You will still be able to use your UK GT on a USA console and play the games, but would still only have access to the UK store.

Also some DLC is so region locked that is you have to match all Regions for it to work.

Say COD:BO if you had a UK account and a USA game and a UK xbox - you could not get some map packs to work.

Short answer, Use your UK account till it is expired, then start a USA account.

Long answer, Start a USA account just to download DLC and keep using your UK items. (Until a game is released that is region locked and you need a USA console to play)

Hello again, nothing it clearly states about region locks before purchase. Person needs to live where you are I.E: USA to USA or UK to UK....not UK to USA wont work, it will be region locked. Sorry.

ok just a few points and a little guessing on your region

ok most xbox live points/subscription codes are region locked.
from what i understand about your question, you have changed your account region to japan and you have now changed back to USA ( guessing your region ).
if your region is set to USA and you bought a points/subscription code from a united states retailer you can redeem that code as it is for your current region
as codes are usually region locked you cannot use a UK code for a USA account ect
IE i have a UK account i change it to canada while its set to canada i cannot use a uk code but when i change back to UK i can use a UK code

so to answer your question, as long as your gamer tag has the same region is the same as the code you have purchased you can use it.
