    Can't purchase FIFA Points with linked PayPal account


    I'm in Australia and I have purchased digital items for Xbox 360 and Xbox One over the years with this PayPal account. The last item I purchased was Legend Pack, although this was back in February. I have no issue using this PayPal account for other online
    purchases and paying bills.

    When I attempted to purchase FIFA Points it said that a credit card had to be added to pay for the balance (had $3.05 in Microsoft account). Is this an EA imposed restriction, or is it something else?

    I also got the "This items can't be purchased with a credit card. You must buy it with Microsoft Points or try again later." message after trying to purchase points via my linked PayPal account (Germany). The message could not be more stupid: why should
    I purchase points with points if I want to purchase points because I haven't any left? xD

    Can't authorize Paypal?

    I have a PayPal account and I have my bank account linked to it and that is what I use for all my purchases.. I also have a pre-paid Visa linked to it. I added my PayPal to my Xbox Live account and I simply want to buy 1000 Microsoft points but I keep getting
    a message saying "Can't authorize the selected payment option. Please select a different payment option or add a new one."

    Why won't it let me purchase Microsoft points?

    How can I use my Microsoft Account Balance to purchase items?

    Tried to purchase FIFA points (89p) using £15 Account Balance, but account balance is not available for selection as a payment option, only my PayPal account.

    FIFA 15 points (on the xbox one)

    You can't use money on your account to buy FIFA points. You must use an actual form of payment (i.e. Credit Card/Paypal/etc.)

    I also have the same problem.

    I tried to purchase points and magic 2012. After many tries, it seemed to let me purchase points, but then it never updated my points total. After a few tries at purchasing magic 2012, it let me purchase it, but it didn't let me install it. Xbox live
    says that my paypal account is not valid, but my paypal account was already charged for the points. My xbox account also says that magic 2012 was purchased, but I can't install the game.

    When I try to purchase points via xbox.com, it says that my paypal account is not valid. When I try to add a credit card, it says that my credit card number is invalid.

    Is there something wrong with xbox live right now?

    Can you provide a little more information? Are you doing it on the console or Xbox.com? If console, have you recently updated your console? Does your WLID and Paypal email address match?
