Can't Purchase Black Ops 1 on Xbox One

After finding out that Black ops 1 is now available for backwards compatibility, I went to the Xbox game store to purchase it, but I get and error every time saying "At the moment, this can't be purchased on Xbox One. (0x8c150020)" Yet I see people
playing it on Twitch. I've also tried purchasing from Xbox.Com but no luck. My account is an adult account, with no restrictions.

You need a copy of the 360 disc or have bought and downloaded it digitally on your 360. You can't just go to the marketplace and purchase it, unfortunately. Check this link below for more info if you'd like. Good luck, man!

I bought a gift

I can't download black ops 1 in my Xbox one he say you have no valid payment options on file. Microsoft account balances cannot be used in this purchase channel ? If I can't buy it by gift card I don't have any payment options.

 

I have the exact same issue, as do many others. Xbox don't appear to understand that it's their end that's the issue.

Ive just been having this exact same issue, i am now able to purchase black ops from xbox.com after doing troubleshooting so here is what i did.

1) Contacted live support who confirmed my account was restricted from making purchases, the guy/woman unrestricted my account and advised it can take up to 24 hours to work but they would like to try a few other troubleshooting steps to get it working.

2) I was informed to update my personal info witch post codes etc etc, Billing info, Security info ( i used Email and Mobile ) and then also make sure card details for my bank card where correct.

3) I was then advised to try purchase the game on the Xbox console ( even tho i knew it wouldn't work because you cant purchase the game directly from the console on Xbox one ) but i did it anyways and that did not work.

4) I closed down Firefox fully and re signed in and tried to purchase the game again...and it worked the payment went through and now i can download the game on my X1.

So i would advised you guys to contact Live support to see if your account is restricted and then follow my steps.

Tried that @KristianGrey, just get the message "Sorry, cannot be purchased at this time. Please try again."

I would also like to point out that I am able to purchase other backwards compatible games, just not Black Ops 1.

First thing to make sure is that the region of your account is tied to your physical location. Cross-region accounts can cause some trouble with purchasing content, so be sure that all lines up. Your payment method also needs to match your region, so if
you're using a payment option such as PayPal that uses an alternate region's payment option you'll need to move that over to something else. Currently you'll need to purchase the game from either Xbox.com or an Xbox 360.

I know this may be a bit late for a response but I have heard from one of my friends that there was an issue regarding purchasing Black Ops 1.

 

I buy stuff all the time this only happens with backwards compatible so xbox fix your stuff

same here i downloaded black ops on my 360 same with one of my friends but he can use it but i cant it doesnt even show up on ready to play/instal

 

Hi Mister Maka, oh yes already pointed that out from my first reply a few days back. Tried it on the console during that day and it's going to give you a message to Purchase it from an Xbox 360 or Xbox.com.

 

So if i go on my 360 and buy it will it credit the game to my account so I can go install it from my xbox one?
