    Can't purchase backwards compatible games.


    It will not allow me to purchase any backwards compatible games whatsoever. I do not have a microsoft account balance, but my PayPal is linked to my account. I don't think it even recognizes my PayPal at all, because it never seems to show up. It just displays
    a message saying, 'You have no valid payment options on file.'

    Hi! Have you made sure that you have selected your region on the website? Do you receive the same error on your Xbox? Is there any error code or message you are receiving?

    I can't download a backwards compatible game from the store, no matter what I do it doesn't work. When I get the 'no valid payment method' I try to add my debit card but get sent to a US page that's locked countries. I have pay pal and Debit cards connected
    to my account and can't buy it on my xbox one or the xbox page online. Just want to be able to download it somehow.

    Xbox is aware users are experiencing issues. They are hard at work for a fix! Please keep an eye on the Xbox

    Thanks, but i'm sure the game is backwards compatible, it also is Xbox One X enhanced and there are people still playing on the new consoles X/S. I didn't search through the list, but i can tell you that it is 100% backwards compatible. I only can't purchase it from the Store/marketplace, i click the "confirm" button at the end of transition but nothing happen.. they should take it out of marketplace, because it says "19,99€" but i can't do anything. Other games i can't purchase don't show the price, this one does! Backwards compatible or not!

    Backward compatible titles can't be purchased with prepaid cards.

    You'll need a creditcard or paypal for these kind of purchases.

    That game is not currently backwards compatible so it can't be played on the One. You can find a list of backwards compatible games here

    Are you trying to buy One games or backwards compatible games? The Microsoft account balance cannot be used to purchase backwards compatible content on the One.

    The One store/website have never been updated to work with the currency system for backwards compatible content. The only way to purchase backwards compatible games with the funds on your account is through a 360 console.

    Oblivion is backwards compatible so it will work on the One X. You can view a list of backwards compatible games at https://www.xbox.com/xbox-one/backward-compatibility/available-games
