Can't Purchase At All

Hey all,

I'm having an issue with purchasing right now.

I've been trying to buy a DLC for Black Ops 2 but I cant. I've tried purchasing from my Xbox and my computer but it wont let me.

It just says "add new payment option" despite the fact that I have more than enough money on my account to purchase the DLC.

Anyone else have this issue?

Can't log in at all

When I try to log in, I get various error messages: "an illegal state change was requested"; "the dictionary attack mitigation is triggered and the provided authorization is ignored by the provider"; "you've entered the incorrect PIN too many times" when
I didn't enter it at all!

I de-registered both of my devices, but nothing has changed.

I saw a beautiful game that I wanted to download (I can't remember the name), and this nonsense started when I tried to get it.

The game is hidden objects with a match-three component, and it looks like a Victorian theme with a Christmas element to it. Does anyone know what this is?

And what's wrong with my account???

Can't sign in at all.

I am currently unable to sign in to xbox live. I have tried multiple times to sign in but i continue to receive the same message, "There was a problem. We couldn't sign you in. Try again in a few minutes, or check your account by signing in to account.live.com.
Sign in: 0x87DD0006" I have tried resetting my console multiple times and have waited for a while, but yet the same problem continues to occur. Please help as soon as possible

Are you looking to use your local currency or moeny in your account to pay for the DLC?

If yes, you will still need to add a credit card on your account.

At checkout, you will need to choose credit card first as primary mode of payment, and there will be a prompt if you want to use the money in your account. If there is enough funds in your account, you card will not b charged.

Note: Using your local currency for a purchase is only applicable on your Xbox console.

It's kind of weird right now. I can use my account money to make purchases on my Xbox One but I cant make any purchases at all on my Xbox 360. Xbox One shows the amount I have available to spend while the 360 shows that I have nothing on file to make the
purchase.

I did contact support for this through the online chat and they said I somehow have Xbox Live Gold for both Canada and the US even though I'm in Canada and setup my account for Canada purchases. Even my consoles region is set on Canada but when I try entering
a credit card I can't choose Canada, it's stuck on United States. It doesn't make much sense. They basically told me they can't do anything about it, so I've wasted about $70 purchasing Xbox cards to buy DLC.

Just a note: I owned the Xbox One before owning a 360. Maybe I didn't setup the 360 correctly?

Another thing to look at.

You have the list of games that were offered with the games with gold for the 360 and I assume the dates also.

Even though these were free games with gold they would still show up in your order history at account.microsoft.com you can just go there and look at the dates for the purchases to see if they were purchased/redeemed during that period.

Yeah, there used to be a web-based list (on the same page as the One list actually). They quietly removed it so no one really knows why. I miss it.

Many thanks for that. It had been so long since I'd been on the 360, I'd forgotten that method.

So, this solved a lot of issues - finding games like Bayonetta and The Cave. I've set 20+ downloads going and as many again to download later. It has to be said though, this is cumbersome and slow. Why oh why can't there be a simple web based list? Using
the 360 to go through a decade of purchases is a slow process...so many DLCs and demos over the years. Also got quite a lot in the list showing simply as 'Content cannot be accessed'.

Anyway, thanks again. Still puzzled by how many aren't there that I'm sure I bought...like Dante's Inferno.

You should still be able to find everything you own through your purchase history on the 360 itself. Even if the games have been delisted in the store, you should be able to redownload them there. If they're not listed in there and you they do not show as
purchased in the store, then typically that means they were purchased on a different account.

Sign in to Xbox Live on your console using the gamertag that you used when you originally purchased the content.
Go to settings and select Account.
Select Download History.
Browse your download history and find the item you want to download again.
Select the item, and then select Download Again.
