Can't process the update. Status code: 40A3 - 416B - 1600 - 267F - C000 - 0185

Went through and did all of the suggestions of try again, use USB flash drive and DVD-R to install the update. Cleared the current update and the cache before each attempt. Spoke with four different Microsoft support agents and was told to put it out for
the community to resolve. Any help?

Exact same problem!

Same "40A3-416B-1380-267F-C000-0185" error code with "can't process the update" message after attempting April 1 2014 update on 360S. When I try a USB flash drive (FAT32 formatted with update in root) getting "40A3-416B-1600-267F-C000-0185" with "can't process
the update".

I also can't format internal 4GB memory, showing unformatted and will not format no matter how many times I try. Memory was working fine before update attempt.

I also can not connect to Xbox Live, never had an issue signing before the update attempt.

Maybe the update can't be processed without being signed into Xbox live, but I can't sign into Xbox Live without the update ?

Out of warranty too...

I had the same problem, sent my xbox 360 to the service centre for repair.

 

I guess this issue isn't solvable!

 

Formatting the hard drive didn't work.

 

Other than this post, I can not find the C000 0185 error message listed anywhere. Is this a new error?

In many cases this is due to a failed memory unit in the 4GB console, or a failed hard drive. If you have the 4GB console even if it has a hard drive fitted then I'm afraid a failed memory unit would mean sending the console in for repair.

 

There are no results for "C000 0185". However I did find a post referencing error code C000 0185 and there was no resolution other than to send the unit in for repair which means it will be replaced.

This post is from January of this year so the fact that it has been over 3 months and there is no fix for this yet it continues to happen is blatant show of disrespect for the customer. This system is 16 months old (bought it for my kids Christmas before
last) and it has had some minor issues that were easy to resolve. The Kinect is AWESOME!

I have watched the kids use it a few times and WOW, just WOW! I have owned a PS3 for 6 years and have replaced 2 controllers from excessive use (not abuse) other than that the system has NEVER had a problem. So, when my kids said that they wanted an Xbunk
for Christmas, Santa brought it. The money paid for Xbunk live is gone, the games that were purchased and downloaded are gone, the map pack all gone because Microsux sells inferior products that they have no intention of standing behind. Line the suckers up
and take the cash!

Error xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-C000-0185 occurs when downloading an update to your Xbox 360 console

You see the following error message and code when downloading an update to your Xbox 360 console:

• Cannot process update.
• Status code: xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-C000-0185
• Note The “x” digits vary.

This may mean that the update failed to download to your Xbox 360 console.

Solutions

To resolve this problem, try the following solutions:

Solution 1: Download the update again

1. Restart your console.
2. Press the Guide button on your controller (center X button on your controller).
   
3. Go to Settings, and then select System Settings.
4. Select Network Settings.
5. Select Wired Network or your wireless network name (if you're prompted to do so).
   
6. Select Test Xbox Live Connection.
7. Select Yes if you are prompted to update your console software.

Solution 6: Copy the update to a USB flash drive, to a CD, or to a DVD

If none of the preceding solutions fixed the problem, copy the console update from your computer to a USB flash drive, to a CD, or to a DVD, and then install the update on your console. Here’s how:

Copy to a USB flash drive

Note The USB flash drive must use the FAT32 file system.

1. Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.
2. Download the update file.
   
3. Click Save to save the console update .zip file to your computer.
4. Unzip the file:

• If you are using Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.

Your first post did not help. You obviously did not check to see if the code would produce an answer at the link you posted and now you are regurgitating the default response which had you read my first post, you would have seen that I had already went through
all of the Solutions that are a Microsux Xbunk default response and would also seem be to a way to bury posts!

If you go to the error code lookup link in my first post, enter the code C000-0185 exactly as shown then you should get the exact same suggested solutions I copy/pasted from the error code lookup website.

Of course I did check what suggestions came up when entering the code, be pretty pointless asking you to check something that I hadn't already checked.
