Can't play.

Ok so xbox live is down I get that...but it's not letting me play or even load up any of my games offline either...specifically battlefield 4. It just says "To start battlefield 4, we need to connect to xbox live. Make sure your xbox is online, then sign
in and try again." I shouldn't have to be online to play a game offline...this is completely stopping me from playing the game at all. Any help would be great.

Can't play!

I have Destiny: The Fallen King on XBox 360. I've downloaded the game successfully, but now it says:

DOWNLOADING FROM Xbox Games Store

□ 1.98 GB in progress (this may take a while)

There is a spinning circle indicating it's loading, but nothing is happeneing... It's been 7 HOURS!! Someone, please help me!!!

Not sure what's going on there - I could still play my games just fine. Did you try going to settings and forcing your console offline to see if that would fix the issue?

 

Gg, that doesnt work. I am beyond godamned livid right. All weekend problems now its not lettting me play my digital games and disk based ones are missing dlc.. Starting to wholly regret going xbox here,every week seems to usher a prob or hiccup,really getting
fed up.

If you're on your "Home" X Box One and Live/Internet goes down, it's as easy as "X Box...settings...network...go offline. Now if your home X Box isn't in your home...well, what did you expect?

 

Its not easy because none of what you said had any impact last night on this problem.

So if Live or the Net is down you can't play games, or specific games offline?

If specific, then be specific about which games please.

 

Last night Electro, LIVe was at its worst throughout the problems this weekend gave us with LIVE in general. All my digital games were unable to be played at all and some of my disk based games several DLCs were missing.

Go look at the support section, tons of people having the same problem, as was I , I was under the impression that online was not needed for offline games but apparently thats not true,

 

You can still play offline if you are using the "Home" xbox, like what has already been said, you just go to settings and change to "offline".

Eg. My son users the "home" xbox and he had no problems playing offline. I on the other hand could not sign in on My X1, as it isn't the "home" X1 in the house.

 

Whoo, glad my bro and I decided to NOT gameshare. Dodged a bullet there, we did.

Share? So if something goes wrong with the net/servers. You can't share your games?

Someone's going to have to explain that one, and don't skimp on the details of how exactely it all works online and off.

 

You know I did come across Child of Light never working when in offline mode no matter what you did, it was happening to someone in the support forums and the same thing happened to me when I tested it.

I'm not sure of any other games with similar issues, but it does seem some games can be affected by this.

 

Umm I game share at home and had no problems with any of my games on either Xbox's. Live was messed up on Sunday but that only made elder scolls online unplayable because, well it's only online. If you're having problems every week you might have hardware
problems.
