    Can't play Xbox compatible game on 360


    I'm trying to play Star Wars Knights of the Republic on my 360 and it won't work. I have a hard drive and I'm connected to Xbox Live. It's listed as compatible in the official list. What do I need to do to get it to work?

    The Xbox One is not backwards compatible with Xbox 360 games so you can't play any 360 games on the Xbox One

    I doubt it last time you could play the backwards compatible games on your 360 with people on first xbox but none of 360 games will work on XboxOne so nope can't see it

    Your hard drive needs to be an official Microsoft branded hard drive and not a cheap, 3rd party knock-off. Only the official Microsoft branded drives have the partition with the backwards compatibility files on them that allow you to play original Xbox games.

    It is an official MS drive - it has the XBox 360 thing on the drive case.

    Just because it looks like one doesn't mean it is actually official. If you purchased it online from someone other than Microsoft or from a brick and mortar store it may be a knock off. If you got a really good price on it, it may be fake. Only official
    Xbox hard drives have the emulation software needed to play Xbox Original games. If you have any other original games you can try to see if they work. If they don't, your hard drive is likely a fake and you will not be able to play Xbox original games.

    To play original Xbox games on your Xbox 360 you will need a Microsoft brand hard drive. No other brand of hard drive will allow you to play backwards compatible games on Xbox 360. The Microsoft brand hard drive has the files needed to emulate the original
    xbox to play those backwards compatible games - you can't get this on any other brand of hard drive.

    There are Xbox 360 games included in the Game Pass, but you can't use Game Pass on your Xbox 360 console.
