    So I bought the xBox game pass ultimate today and realized I couldn't use either my mouse or keyboard. Since im on mac I have to use the website and even if I played games which were supposed to support m&k like Sea of Thieves it didn't work. Luckily I still had my Nintendo Switch Pro Controller at home which worked completely fine. I also need to mention that it only did not work in-game and on the website itself I could use mouse and keyboard.

    How could or would a game like Age of Empires work on console?

    the original Xbox only came with a controller. the Xbox 360 only came with a controller. the Xbox One comes with a controller. you can't buy an Xbox One with a Keyboard and Mouse.
    in my opinion if they don't sell them with a Keyboard and Mouse they shouldn't have support for Keyboard and Mouse. if you want to use
    Keyboard and Mouse you should play on a PC and not on a console.

    Players using a controller will not be put into games with players using a keyboard/mouse & vice versa unless they choose to.

    Other than RTS games I can't stand using a keyboard/mouse to play games with,much prefer a controller.

    Is it normal that I can use my keyboard to navigate the Xbox Home Screen but when I try to use my keyboard in a game it doesn’t work?

    If it is a gaming mouse and keyboard you can't use them as those use custom drivers

    Only the upcoming xbox gaming keyboard and mouse are supported that wsy
