    Can't play with keyboard and mouse without controller


    I got Call of Duty Vanguard today and after some time my controller automatically turned off because i was playing with a keyboard and mouse attached. Then i was greeted with a screen that i have to reconnect my controller to keep playing this game.

    I never seen this screen before so i wonder if this is new in a preview build? I'd like it to be fixed for this game but more importantly this feature to be removed. I don't see the sense of seeing this as an improvement. It doesn't fix a problem there was before.

    How could or would a game like Age of Empires work on console?

    the original Xbox only came with a controller. the Xbox 360 only came with a controller. the Xbox One comes with a controller. you can't buy an Xbox One with a Keyboard and Mouse.
    in my opinion if they don't sell them with a Keyboard and Mouse they shouldn't have support for Keyboard and Mouse. if you want to use
    Keyboard and Mouse you should play on a PC and not on a console.

    Mouse and Keyboard makes controllers obsolete

    Keyboard & mouse support is coming soon.

    Players using a controller will not be put into games with players using a keyboard/mouse & vice versa unless they choose to.

    Other than RTS games I can't stand using a keyboard/mouse to play games with,much prefer a controller.

    DOUBT!

    The Xbox can't be controlled by keyboard and mouse through the Stream mode at all. While it's possible in the Minecraft Bedrock Edition to use Keyboard and mouse, all other games don't accept keyboard and mouse input at all.

    You might have to try Minecraft, if you can control it via Keyboard and mouse while streaming to your PC.

    Unfortunately, split screen mode in Fortnite requires two controllers to be connected to the console. It is not possible to play split screen with a combination of a controller and a mouse & keyboard. You will need to have two controllers to play split screen mode in Fortnite.

    You will.have.to.purchase a.second controller keyboard.

    You will be.hardpressed to find a game that supports keyboard and mouse on 2 players
