Can't Play With Friends

I've looked everywhere and tried everything, but still no fix.

My Xbox one says that my friends and I are offline even though we are online. None of us have it set up to show us offline. We are trying to play Halo 5 together, but invites and messages that say they are sent are never received.

The only messages and invites I have received are from strangers I've been matched with in multiplayer.

I would really appreciate a solution.

1. Are you seeing this with an Xbox One or Xbox 360 console?

2. Are either you or this friend using a
child/teen account?

3. What specific games have you tried playing in so far, that have given you trouble?

4. Please include a picture of any specific error messages you're seeing, in your reply

5. Have you taken any steps already to troubleshoot this issue? If so, can you let us know what specific steps you've already tried, to make sure we don't retrace anything?

My friend and I have tested our NAT and it always says it's open

Heya!

This issue should be resolved and in order to get that all fixed up let's have you

soft factory reset the console.

On step seven be sure to select "Keep my games and apps" this way you wont lose any content from the console like your games and apps.

Post back and let us know if that does not resolve it!

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to deal with this issue. I can totally understand one's need to be social in these times. You can check the privileges on one's account by going to Settings> Account> Privacy & online safety>
Xbox Live Privacy> View details and customize.

There's a lot that a profile can do and you can tweak your privacy settings there.
Game content is where the ability to see people's creations if you're playing Minecraft or something and
Communication & multiplayer is where you can tweak your ability to join games with others.
