Can't play with friends on Left4dead2

When I try to play with my friends on Left4dead2 it says their not in a joinable game even though their in lobby, not main menu, a lobby or in game and when they try inviting me it doesn't work either, we tried switching the server and making it invite only, nothing works. I only seem able to join when a random person joins or a random person hosts the game. I'm on Xbox series s and I thought that was the issue but my friend invited someone with the same Gen Console and they couldn't connect either

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues playing Left4dead2 with your friends. As part of our troubleshooting, please check your game version and make sure that it matches with your friends. Once confirmed, kindly logout from your Xbox by pressing the Xbox button, select Profile & system, and then select Sign out to sign out and back in. Check for the game once more after logging back in

If the initial steps did not work, delete and re-add your friend from your friend's list. Let me know how it goes.

Please follow my recommendations below to ensure that your multiplayer settings are allowed in your profile. Make sure that your friends do this as well.

1. Go to https://account.xbox.com/settings

2. Login using your Microsoft account with Minecraft.

(if it doesn't say it and directs you to the website, make sure you're signed in using the correct email)

Note: If you don't have an Xbox account, it will ask you to make one, so make any account.

3. If you scroll down, under your username and Avatar it should say "Xbox one/windows 10 online safety" click on that

4. Scroll down until you see "You can join multiplayer games" allow or block,

allow this

Relaunch Minecraft and you should be able to join any multiplayer server.

Hey I Kawki, are you trying to use DLC from the first game on the second? If so, I'm afraid that's likely not supported, as there is different DLC for each game.
