    Cant play TrueHD sound from my blu rays on xbox one S


    When will there be support for trueHD sound for playing my Bluray discs. I mean its quite rediculous to put in a 4k Ultra HD bluray player, without having support for True HD sound, and atmos and dtx for that matter.

    So when is this update coming?

    If not soon, give me my money back.

    I just bought the xbox one S console, mainly because of the 4K uhd player. Now I want to return it, because i found out that it doesnt support dolby atmos or dtx. Why on earth not? I mean why would you want to put a 4k player on the market that doesnt support
    4k sound. Its just plain stupid, and it really makes no sense. So today also now i found out that I cant get TrueHD audio output. Come on guys, really?

    So you got a fix for this or is there a software update coming very very soon???

    Xbox One S and Dolby Atmos

    You can add me to the list as well.

    Atmos had been working fine, then the other I day I was halfway through a UHD movie and noticed my receiver said TrueHD instead of Amos. Afterwards, I tried turning the pass through setting off and on with no luck. Then I tried the Vudu and the Dolby app
    and both output in Atmos. Moved over to my PS4 and loaded up MI:5 blu-ray and the receiver played the Atmos perfectly. Took the same disc over to the Xbox and again I got TrueHD. I went so far as to delete and reinstall the blu-ray app with no luck. It's not
    the receiver or the cable or the disc, so it has to be the blu-ray app, right? I really hope they fix this issue pronto. I got the Xbox One S specifically for UHD/Atmos.

    My son just purchased an XBox One, it took about 1 hr to do full set up & install Forza, fairly simple. I am SOOOOOOOOOO disappointed with MS. I put in Lord of the Rings Blu-Ray disk to see how it looks and sounds. I noticed the Blu-Ray player does not play
    Dolby TrueHD & DTS-HD Master Audio. What a HUGE mistake. So I either have to use my PS3 or go out and buy a Blu-Ray player now if I want to be able to watch those movies and utilize those features built in the Blu-Ray disks. I don't get it, the Xbox One is
    suppose to be All in one entertainment system for our living rooms, but you skimp on what a Home Theater is all about.

    Surround Sound on TV Pass Through Still Not Working?!?!?

    Optical for audio doesn't work for me. When I watch Blu-rays and play games with better than Dolby Digital Sound (DTS-MA or Dolby TrueHD), optical can't send those.

    Anyone figured out a clever way to make surround sound pass through from their cable box work normally, or is this just a deal breaker?
