    Can't Play To the Xbox One - can't find X1 as an option on any device?


    It's probably something to do with my network, but I can't figure out what. I've read this article that says what all you need to have activated/opened up on the OS to PlayTo, but my problem is that no device (not phone, not tablet, not PC) will realize
    that the Xbox One is on the same wireless network, which is why I can't use Smartglass either.



    The Xbox One does have correct settings, I'm thinking it might be something to do with my router, but does anyone have any idea how to proceed from here?

    EDIT: Smartglass works sporadically, I managed to connect my phone and tablet to the Xbox One with Smartglass, but still when I try to PlayTo (from either desktop or the Win 8 "metro-side" of things, I can't manage to have it find the Xbox to play to it..

    (XBOX ONE) Xbox Live connection issues on 360

    Since MW3 recently became available to play on backward compatible, I wanted to play with my friends but apparently I can't download my profile on the 360 dashboard because my xbox can't connect to xbox live, but I am connected on the Xbox One, in a party
    chat. I can't download and can't play online because the 360 dash doesn't ''find'' my internet, but the X1 is perfectly fine. Any help?

    Is there a way to block people from using the "play to" feature from the Xbox One?

    Basically I just want to find a way to block people from using the "play to" feature from the Xbox One because they keep interrupting me when I'm using my Xbox One.

    I know on the 360 you can go to system settings and disable the "play to" feature but I can't find anything like that on the X1.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Sadly, no luck. Tried most of these already. I had the most hope on turning firewall from router off, but nothing changed. Perhaps I need to try contacting MS to see if they can troubleshoot.

    Have you tried installing a dedicated DLNA server package on the PC? Media Browser 3, Plex, Serviio etc?

    Have you tried installing a dedicated DLNA server package on the PC? Media Browser 3, Plex, Serviio etc?
