Can't play the game

I activated my 14 free days of xbox game pass to try the game Sea of Thieves (on windows 10), but my account apparently is a "child's account" so I can't log in and play the game.

After fighting with the settings for about an hour, I updated my privacy settings, (and yes, I did click "Save" and it did save), but for some reason it remains like I haven't changed anything, and I still can't play the game or add any friends.

It would be very helpful if someone knows why the settings are not updating on my account.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that when I try to log into the game I also get the error "avacadobeard".

Yes this problem is system-wide. I also have been getting numerous error messages: Error Code: 102780 is my most recent error code. You can expect these types of errors for the first week or so of the game launch while they figure out all the kinks in their
codes

Be sure to sign out and in again on your console.

The forums usually have some things to try when experiencing 'beard' errors (they are specific to Sea of Thieves)
