Can't play single player game while offline

Ugh. There WAS a service alert when that happened to me. The issue isn't whether or not I could watch Netflix. The issue is whether there was an issue with Live, which might have, at some point, prevented the OP from playing an online game. There WAS.
Again, what's confusing about any of this???

 

What part of single player is so hard to understand??? No connection required at all to play Diablo 3... I maybe wrong about that.....

Please prove me wrong!! Like I said it WAS an issue for PC gamers at launch A VERY public issue in fact. Long since fixed.

This was the only person to not play Diablo 3 single player last week... He decided to post here and not call or look into support... AFAIK you can play games off-line without issue 99% of the time.

Yes, poor Mr. Redneck might have had an actual issue that didn't affect every player. That sort of thing does happen. And, for his trouble asking, he was called a troll, and someone who thought he might have a legitimate problem was called ignorant. If
you can't see why that's an issue and shouldn't be happening, then I don't even know how to explain it to you. Put simply though, it's incredibly rude.

How do we know the guy didn't buy the game digitally and how do we know he wasn't suffering a license issue with the game.

If he didn't have the correct licences in place then he indeed would be prevented from playing the game while unable to connect to Live?

A chap by the name of Paraffin Alien was the only one to ask for more other information. The bulk of posts after that came from someone branding the OP a liar and someone else arguing with that person.

It's no wonder the OP didn't come back to answer Mr. P Alien's questions in a situation like that.

 

Kedareturns, I`ll back you up on this one. I am on occasions having problems with repeatedly getting kicked from XBL, unable to login, etc

So on goes the PC, internet check ok, login to xbox.com to check service status only to find no alerts.

Back to XBL on console to still find login problems, so it does happen without microsoft being immediately aware.

Sometimes it takes awhile before they detect the problem, just like my ISP.

 

So what does that have to do with playing single player offline???

No need for internet in anyway to use SINGLE PLAYER features ........ Just sayn.....

 

What I was trying to find out is as follows;

Numerous games give you the choice on where to store your saves when starting a new game.

So if you had you game saves set to cloud not hard drive and the XBL service was unavailable, would that not contribute towards making an offline single player game unplayable?

 

Also do you actually know how licensing works on the 360 and One, Bong?

If they aren't in place correctly and there is no connection to Live then the person wont be able to play the games when there is no connection.

I suspect you do know and are just trolling for fun.

BTW, NO that would not make a game unplayable if a save is on a different device....

Just means you have to start fresh... a new game save is not what Unplayable means... JMHO...

Yet you never asked that question, whether it was a disc or not. You jumped straight into calling him a troll and an argument with another poster.

Sadly this isn't even a one off. Looking at your other posts on the forum you treat near everyone with equal disdain.

 

So I treat everyone equal..... What's wrong with that? you assumed it was not a disk without asking...... then went into licensing (wrong also if you have the cable and disk)

single player does NOT need internet on the 360. Knowing the game in question also helps.
