Can't play original Xbox games on my 360

A week ago today I had a 2 hour and 13 minute conversation with the Microsoft help line about my Xbox 360 not being able to play original Xbox games. I was told that it would be brought to the attention of higher-up tech support and I would hear back in
24-48 hours, but I still haven't heard anything.

My Xbox doesn't connect to xbox live (it was console banned several years ago, and Microsoft also couldn't help me with that), so I had to update my Xbox 360 through USB with an update from xbox.com. I keep getting this message for all the games I try

"this original Xbox game is not supported on your xbox 360 console. An update to support this game may be available. For more info, go to
www.xbox.com/games."

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the update multiple times. The hard-drive and xbox are official Microsoft products as well (I was asked this several times in my chat). It's a 20gb hard-drive and one of the Modern Warfare 2 Xbox 360's. The person
I talked with told me the game was supposed to do it's own update when I put it in, but it was skipping that step.

The games are all discs on the "accepted games" list, and they seem to work fine on consoles other than mine.

I've tried all the solutions on Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened. as well, but I'm at a loss! Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

the problem is that the game itself needs an update from Xbox Live in order to be supported on the console, but since your console can not connect to Xbox Live it can't get the update, besides connecting to Xbox Live there are no other ways to get an update
for a game that is supported.

I'm afraid it's just not possible with that console.

 

Your console needs to download an emulation profile to play the game, and since you can't connect to Live to download it, your console won't recognize it. There's no way to download these profiles manually, nor can they be copied from other consoles. They're
not included with the dashboard updates either. You're unfortunately out of luck.
