    Can't play original xbox game on my xbox 360


    The game is Sonic Heroes. I'm trying to play it on a original xbox 360 console. I have a 120 gb hdd. The game freezes at the original xbox logo.

    The game is in the compatible games list and I'm using the hard drive when playing it. Any help?

    which 360 are you using the old one with the clip on hard drive or the newer slim with the internal drive. if you are using the slim then the 120 drive you have is a fake as there is only a 250 and 320 gig drives for the slims. if you are using a old style
    360 there is a possibility that drive is a fake too as many sellers put generic drives in official casings so they look real but are fake and are missing the emulation software needed to run the older games.

    Check the condition of your disc and make sure it is clean and has no scratches or marks on it. Sometimes certain original Xbox games may take more than one try to get them to boot up from my experience.

    Are you attempting to play the game on a screen that is Full HD? I ask as some games have instant crash issues when attempting to play on anything except 480i/480p, and even then if you screen ratio is set to 4:3. Something to try anyway, bit hit and miss
    with the old ones.

    I'd suggest clearing the system cashe and deleting any saved sonic content on your hard drive but I'm sure you've done that. If you have a repair might be your last option, sorry.

    Bought a old Xbox game (rollercoaster Tycoon) and it won't load on my xbox 360 ERROR code: X: 5829.0 B: 1884.0

    Sorry, but Rollercoaster Tycoon is not backwards compatible with the Xbox 360. There is no way to run this game on your console.

    All the original Xbox games that can run on the Xbox 360 are on this list:http://support.xbox.com/games/play-original-games

    If the game is not on that list, you can't play it on an Xbox 360.

    Xbox Original game STILL WON'T PLAY

    To be able to play an original game you should be able to get online. Xbox Live functionality for original Xbox games has been discontinued. You can, however, set up a system link between original Xbox and Xbox 360 consoles:

    support.xbox.com/.../connect-system-link-play

    Since your console is banned you can't use this feature thus you can't play the Original Xbox game.

    No you can't install original Xbox games to a Xbox 360, you can only play from the disc.

    Maybe it's just one of the original Xbox games that can't play on the 360. Some original Xbox games will not work. Also make sure that your console is up to date on the software.
