Can't play online Minecraft for windows

You may have migrated to the wrong Microsoft account or are trying to sign in with a different Microsoft Account than what you migrated to. Please ensure that you migrated your Mojang account to the correct Microsoft account, and that you are signing in with your correct Microsoft account, when you load Minecraft.

If you did in fact migrate to the wrong Microsoft account, please contact Mojang support. If you confirm that you are migrated to the correct account and are signed into the correct account but are still experiencing this issue, then please also contact Mojang support.

Additionally, please review the Migration FAQ on the Mojang Support site and the support article regarding this issue and see if any of the information there is helpful.

Looked through some of the help articles - man the information is confusing.

Anyways from what I'm inferring from the posts is that you can play Windows 10 to Windows 10, and Pocket Edition to Windows 10 and that's it right now.

Can I play online with other people on Windows 10? Or on different devices?

I'm sorry to hear that. Since you're currently a member of a family account, the privacy settings can only be changed using the ORGANIZER'S email. So all you need to do is to ask the owner of the organizer's email to sign in first at account.live.com

Make sure that under Privacy, Xbox One/ Windows 10 online safety, everything is set as ALLOW and EVERYONE.

Kindly turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds and then plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

then try signing out/in your account to refresh it. If it still persists, you may also want to try resetting your console while keeping your games & apps.
