cant play multiplayer

I know this sounds like an easy fix yeah, but whenever I try to join a friend on Pocket Edition, it just doesn’t join. My internet isn’t bad, my settings are all set to allow, and most of the time, I’m on the same wifi as them. There isn’t even a pop up of it saying I can’t play because of my settings. It just says “unable to join server.” How can I fix this?

If you just bought gold it takes a few mins for the gold to "set in". Perhaps try to shutdown your xbox, wait 30 seconds. Restart and try again?

Your status probably hasn't updated on the console. Wait a few minutes or you can try to restart the Xbox.

Usually multiplayer issues are caused by restricted net settings, check your router/modem and try to forward the ports and open Nat settings.
