    Can't play Minecraft on new laptop


    I had bought Minecraft on an old laptop, but recently got a new one and tried to play Minecraft on it. I went to the Minecraft page, downloaded the installer, and tried to install it, figuring I'd have to log into my Microsoft account (I've migrated) in the launcher. However, it told me I had to log into the Microsoft store, and I was like "ok I guess that makes sense too" so I did that, on the account that has Minecraft, but it still doesn't work and tells me the same thing.

    If I may ask, what Minecraft version you're trying to play? Is it Minecraft Java Editin or Minecraft for Windows?

    You can't, because unfortunately, Minecraft is not an Xbox Play anywhere game. If you want to play it on your laptop you need to pay for the PC version.

    Minecraft windows 10 edition is not in my library

    Im having a similar issue. I purchased Minecraft for windows 10 on my desktop so i could play with my friend who has a switch. Im now in college with a laptop and when i go into the same Microsoft account it is not in my library. however a game like Forza
    Horizon 4 is? i went to the Xbox companion app and indeed it shows when i last played Minecraft for windows 10 as this Microsoft account but i can't download it on this laptop.
