Can't play license transferred game

    Can't play license transferred game


    I am trying to play call of duty infinite warfare on my account, the game is owned by my friends account. I have it set so that it is his accounts home Xbox but when I try to play on my account it tells me I need to sign in to the account that bought the
    game. Anyway to fix this?

    The Game Downloaded won't play on other profiles.

    I'm having the same problem! Except, I couldn't play it. It would just say can't be launched. But I transferred the license and it still didn't work.. My boyfriend downloaded "Destiny" on his xbox360, then turned around and transferred the license to mine
    so I could play it. But it still wont let me play at all..

    License Transferred Games

    License transfers are from console to console.not accounts

    Also it is violation of the terms of use to do that worthy of a perm ban for marketplace theft

    You cannot use the license transfer except for your own personal use for your own content not someone elses in a way to get free games

    I had the same problem, only I did the license transfer and other profiles on new xbox still can't play the games they were able to play on the old (dead) xbox. Why is it even new profiles on new xbox can't play the old games purchased on old xbox... I
    thought the license transfer should take care of that problem....

    Is Microsoft (or the account owner) capable of doing a precision license transfer?

    When doing a license transfer to another console you have no choice as to what is or is not moved.

    With that being said (and I can't guarantee this has not been changed) when I had a second console in my house I did a license transfer to the family console. Only licenses for content that I redownloaded after the transfer were transferred.

    Say for instance you have CoD: AW and Destiny but only want to move the license for Destiny. Do the license transfer and then download Destiny.

    If nothing has been changed anyone will be able to play CoD on the first console and anyone can play Destiny on the second console. But, as I said, I can't guarantee that will work anymore as it's been quite a few years since I needed to do a license transfer
    to a separate console.

    Unfortunately Raymundo you will need to do a transfer license to transfer the content licenses to that Xbox 360 console from a previous one. You can't just redownload them to a new console. However do note that content licenses can not be transfered between
    gamertags only consoles. For steps to do a license transfer please visit

    If the other profiles are not able to play the games, then it is a license issue so transferring the licenses will fix the issue, you would just be transferring the licenses to that console.

    The licenses are tied to your account so transferring them won't effect your ability to play them on your account.
