    Can't play I game that I bought?!


    Can't play Battlefield 4 anymore, even though I bought it a couple weeks ago on my console(xbox one), not by disc... I worked fine earlier today, but suddenly when I try to play it, a message pops up saying "do you own this game or app"? - yes i *** do,
    I have the receipt too! HELP, what do I do??

    Hey there,

    It sounds like your account may not own the game digitally, was there another account that may have purchased the game instead that is on your Xbox One? Are you able to see the purchase on the Gamertag you're posting from on our
    Microsoft Commerce page? If you do not see the purchase on that page, the account you're posting from may not own the game. The best route to take for license issues will be our chat support team
    on our Contact Us page, who will be able to let you know if you do own the game digitally or not.

    Also do keep in mind that we work oldest to newest, and bumping your thread may increase the amount of time it takes for us to respond. Hope this helps!

    Hi there, so have you done the usual restarting the console? If you have, make sure that you're signed in to the console using the same account you used to purchase the game. Also, make sure that the console is connected to Xbox Live. If you keep experiencing
    the problem, contact Xbox Support.

    Make sure you have purchased the game during the sale and you were not just playing it through xbox pass. If you are not sure contact xbox support to verify this for you: (800) 469-9269 if you're in the US/Canada or

    Hey there cx02,

    Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to deal with this issue. I can totally understand how this could be pretty disheartening and concerning a problem to deal with. If you had redeemed the game appropriately, then it would be on your order
    history as well. If it's not on your account, then you would have to purchase it or play it off an account that does have the rights. I would suggest

    removing and redownloading
    your profile just incase the console is not recognizing your license information correctly.

    When you get the chance, give that a shot and let us know if that helped.

    In your case, it's because GTA V is no longer on Game Pass (removed May 7, 2020), you didn't actually buy the game. So, if you want to continue to play the game, you have to buy the actual game.
