Can't play Halo Infinite on PC even though I have active Game Pass

For the past couple of weeks, I've been playing Halo Infinite campaign on PC without a problem. Then, yesterday, all of a sudden, it stopped allowing me access to the game and instead directed me to the "Buy" option whenever I clicked on the "Campaign" button on the main menu. For reference:

I have an active game pass subscription and I'm signed into the correct gamer tag account:

I've tried all the troubleshooting steps that I've found as it relates to this issue and none have worked for me so far. These include: signing out of the Xbox app account, signing out of the Windows Store account, ensuring the game and all Windows store apps were up to date, resetting the Windows Store app with the "WSReset.exe" CMD prompt, and restarting my computer multiple times. I even restarted, repaired and reinstalled the Xbox Gaming Services app.

I do not have this problem on the console itself, as I can play Halo Infinite just fine there. But my subscription is about to run out in a couple of weeks and I'm exploring the option of subscribing to "Game Pass PC" and not the Ultimate variation.

One thing I did notice was that it stopped working for me when I opened the game through Steam. Up until that point, I was launching the game through both "Steam" and the "Xbox" app and had no issues whatsoever. I was playing the campaign portion through the "Xbox" app, and the multiplayer through "Steam." I have since deleted the game from Steam in hopes that it would fix it, and nothing.

I'm pretty frustrated by this whole thing and hope that one of you kind folk can guide me in the right direction to fix this. I'm only a couple of weeks out from renewing my subscription, but not if it means that I can't play games properly.

Do you have the game installed on a different partition? (I mean, not on C: drive)
If yes, try moving the game to C: drive and check if you're able to access to the campaign after that

Tried all of the Original Posters steps already and tried your suggestions. It's still asking me to buy the campaign. I am cancelling my game pass subscription until this is resolved. This is complete nonsense and quite honestly unacceptable behavior for a first party game owned and distributed by one of the largest software companies on earth.

Any other ideas?

so are all the microsoft games like forza and halo included?

Forza Horizon 4 is a Play Anywhere title (not sure about Motorsport)...would make sense for Horizon 5 to also be when it releases.

Halo:MCC is not a Play Anywhere title and requires buying separately for console and PC (I own the console version and would have to pay to play the PC version if I wanted to own it)...however, it is on Game Pass for PC and console so if you own the UGP you can play it on either

I think Halo: Infinite will be Day 1 on Game Pass (not 100% sure though) so you can play it on console or PC if you have GP without purchasing. Halo 5: Guardians can't be played on PC/laptop as it wasn't made available on that platform (for some unknown bizarre and completely illogical reason)

I did this too and talked with Customer Support. They said you can't play on PC with Game Pass. Even though a Sea of Thieves ad pops up at my Windows 10 start button for the Microsoft Store, and clearly says "Play Free with Game Pass" with $59.99 crossed
out. Why would this pop up on my Windows 10 PC when you can't play on PC with Game Pass? It's very misleading. Plus, now that I've activated my two-week trial on Game Pass, it's going to be wasted. They can't pause it ... I asked.
