    Can't play games offline


    I haven't been able to play any games from gamepass offline like I used to be able to. I have my xbox set as home, and I go offline, and it works just fine. But then when I power down my xbox and go to play again later, it says I need to sign into the profile that owns the games or subscription service for the games. So I connect to the internet, go offline, and it works again until I shut down my xbox and power it back on to play later. I dont have internet right now, so I go to my friends to get it working, but since I cant power down my xbox and have it work still, I cant bring it home to play it like usual because I have to unhook it, causing it to not work again.

    Game Pass games require an internet connection. To play offline you will have to buy the games.

    Most of the time the stuff you download off the Xbox 360 market will not play offline. I know you can't play Arcade games or Indie games offline (that's why you can't play Minecraft offline), I haven't checked if Xbox Games on Demand work offline, but I
    assume that they also don't. Since the license of the game is on your Xbox 360 you would have no problem playing the same game on other profiles.

    Like stated in another post above you would need to put your console into offline mode to allow this.

    Also like stated above there are games that are only online games like destiny 2 and fortnite and games like that, these will not work while in offline mode.

    You have to switch the console to Offline mode to ensure it still works when you have no internet connection otherwise it will continue to try and connect and fail.

    If you haven't tried that already.
