CANT PLAY GAMES ANYMORE

Ive shared the same X BOX 360 with my brother for 2 years. We both bought games off xbox live played em got achievments ect...

Last month we got the RED RING - witch i thought was impossible- Llast night He got a REFURBISHED SLIM with no hard drive and

put the old hard drive in the console while I went an bought a 500 gig 360 holiday bundle and gave him the 250 gig weve been sharing.

NOW HE CANT PLAY THE GAMES THAT HAVE BEEN ON THE SYSTEM FOR YEARS !!!!!

WHY? MY OLD PROFILE IS STILL ON HIS X BOX . BUT THE GAMES WONT LAUNCH!!!

Ive tried this. the only way any game would work was uninstalling the games and reinstalling them. I hope this doesn't have to happen again. very frustrating

You need to do a license transfer to transfer your console licenses to the new console.

did that but why wont they play on his my profile is still on it i can play the games on my pro file but he cant play on his profile- BUT HE HAS BEEN DOING THAT FOR YEARS now he cant.

 

Did you redownload the content after doing the transfer?

 

Yes - I can play the games but only on my profile.

he cant play them on his profile even though hes was playing them before.

So now the xbox wont let 2 profiles on the same system play the same games ?

ITS STUPID 2 BUY THE SAME GAME TWICE SO A 2ND PROFILE CAN PLAY ON THE SAME SYSTEM.

if this is standard practice ill switch to playstation.

 

What you need to do, is stay logged in to xbox live on the same console that your licenses are not on, then your brother can also log in to xbox live, and play the games.
