    i recently purchased Sid Meiers Pirates from xbox market. game couldn't play. followed instructions, and deleted game. redownloaded, and had same issue. 1. original system with hd. 2. have xbox live membership. 3. have internet. the only thing that i have
    not tried is to do a factory reset. i would rather avoid that due to all of my in-game purchases. does anyone have another solution that i have mot uncovered through forums? thank you for your time.

    The download couldn't start

    I purchased a game (Jade Empire) and downloaded it. But when I try to play I get the game error "The download couldn't start. Try downloading the game again." I have tried redownloading it, clearing space on my hard drive. deleting it and downloading again,
    and rebooting. I would like to play the game I paid money for.

    thanks. it just really irritates me that i spent 10 dollars on a game i cant get a refund on.

    Madden/Fifa 19 Bundle ? Only one download appearing

    Check the "ready to play" list games. If the game is not there try to download it from the store. If the game is there yet you can't play it, delete the game and download it again.

    What is the exact problem?

    Do you get a can't download error?

    If it's a can't download error then go into the hard drive and delete the partial download for Mafia II

    Then download again but they time stay on the active downloads screen.

    There is a bug that if you try to download a game on demand in the background while playing another game or an app or just browsing the dashboard, you get a can't download error.

    Until this bug is fixed you should stay on the active downloads screen while downloading games.
