Can't play Game Pass games offline on my HOME Xbox Series X, even though it's set as HOME Xbox

Kindly try to do these steps and check if it will fix the issue. Press and hold the Power button on the front of your Xbox until the console turns off.

Unplug everything from the back of your Xbox.

Wait 3 minutes, and then plug the power cord and HDMI back in.

Then, please check if that fixes the issue.

If still getting the same result, try to reset the console this way.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to remember the email and password for the account before taking these steps.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info > Reset console.

Select "Reset and keep my games & apps

Are you offline? Is the Series X your home Xbox?

No my Xbox series x is online and on the same network as my Xbox one and my Xbox series x is set as my home Xbox

i set the series X as the home xbox and it did not let me play MW3 even though i own it.

Edit : When i swapped the series X as my home console it took away MW3 on the series S too. So now i cant play on both consoles.

Make 1 of the Xboxes the "Home Xbox". When done make sure privacy and sharing preferences are set on the "Home Xbox" to share. After that all the games on the "Home Xbox" are accessible by any profile added to that "Home Xbox. The other (non "Home Xbox) has to have the game purchased under that 2nd Xboxes main profile or purchased as a gift from any profile and sent to a chosen profile to be downloaded when that profile signs onto their Xbox. I have an Xbox One X in my living room controlled by my 2nd account profile. I have a Series X in my game room "Home Xbox" controlled by my 1st profile. Example; I log on the Series X with that main profile and buy/download Division 2 with all expansions and passes. I then log on the One X with my 2nd profile (main for that One X) and buy/download Division 2 with out the expansion and passes. So now a family member adds their profile to the One X, if they own the Division 2 they can play it and as much of the content that I have purchased. To play the full version on the One X someone has to buy it for that console, However anyone else that logs onto the One X with their profile that doesn't own any of Division 2 content can't play it at all. They can launch it but it will direct them to the store. Now adding Ultimate Game Pass to the One X allows profiles to download and play any games available through game pass. Remember my Series X will allow any profile added and signed onto can play any games and use the Ultimate Game Pass to download and play from my Series X. One X has limitations for profiles due to that profile owners games owned and which games are in the One X. Confusing ........ ?

Your console must be connected to the internet to retrieve your game licenses. If you set up your console as your Home Xbox, the licenses are kept locally and you can access your digital library even when offline:

Go to Settings > General > Personalisation, and then select My home Xbox. Select Make this my home Xbox..

The Xbox Series X is a significantly more powerful and capable console than the Xbox One; the online requirement has been around since the launch of the Xbox One.

You still have to own the game on your account even if it's free to play. And the demo was delisted from the store, so only accounts who added it to their library before it was removed can play it.
