Can’t play Fortnite on shared Xbox one?

So if im understanding correctly, I cannot play Fortnite on my daughters xbox one without buying a seperate xbox live? We share a console and have 2 different profiles and I cannot login, it just brings her fortnite account up. Is there a way around this?
I am not going to buy a seperate live account for one xbox, I will just toss it and buy a PS4 where we can both play and not even have to have ps plus. Please tell me there is a way to have two seperate Fortnite accounts on two different xbox profiles.

Have you added her to your family account? You can do that and make your console you Home Console. This will allow them to share your Live Gold.

Add a new member to your family on Xbox One

That's how I have mine setup and the kids can access multiplayer just fine for Fortnite

Yes, each account can log in to play Fortnite independently of each other.

When you launch the game under your profile, if it doesn't say it's logged in as you, you can log into your profile through the game.

Press the Menu button (to the right of the Guide button), then
press the Right thumbstick to Switch Profile. Select your profile and start playing.

As Nixelplex noted, if her account has the Live subscription, you will need to be on her account's home console, or her account will need to be signed into the console you are on in order to share the gold subscription.

Are they sharing one xbox? We have both accounts logged on one console and we have the family thing set up. I can play other multiplayer games online, but it will not allow me to log into fortnite. Even with her signed out of xbl and my account logged in,
it brings up her fortnite account already logged in. We cant log hers out without unlinking.

 

She was the first to log into fortnite on the xbox. When i tried to log my epic account on it from my profile, it just brings up her fortnite account even if im on my profile. We share one xbox with 2 different microsoft accounts and we share the gold
for multiplaying. The only way to log her out is to unlink it from the epic games website. I can play everything else independently, but so far have been unsuccessful on having two fortnite accounts on one xbox, even on two different accounts. I know how the
sharing works, This is Fortnite specific on ONE console.

When you log into your account on the xbox and go to the fortnite game it brings up her account in game?

Did she start playing fortnite on your account on the original xbox maybe and it linked your xbox account to her profile on fortnite?

 

That is a GREAT question! I am investigating that next! I have exhausted every other effort.

 

That was it!!!! She had a similar account logged into it, so it was linked up with it. Im trying to get into it now to unlink it and then link mine! Thank you! I have been trying to figure this out for weeks, and even when i called a help line they informed
me that each fortnite account had to have an individually paid live account!
