Can't play Dark Souls on my Xbox One - Cloud Saved Games

I just downloaded Dark Souls on my Xbox One and it's not allowing me to play without the game not saving my progress. When I select the storage device for the game saves, I choose the only one available, Cloud Storage, and it gives me an error. "Items
on another Xbox are waiting to be uploaded for this game or app. To use cloud storage, sign in to the Xbox you last played on and upload the items to the cloud."

I don't have an Xbox 360 anymore and I have no way to access that data.

save data gone, cant re-download profile

So I have been playing dark souls lately, and since I move between 2 houses I put my saved games on the cloud so I can access them on each Xbox. However, at one house I use a wireless connection which isn't reliable at all, so midway through playing dark
souls (on a saved game on cloud saves) I disconnect from Xbox live. I decide to quit the game and since dark souls only asks you where to save after quitting I am unable to select cloud saves. I decide to just select hard drive for now, and move the data to
cloud saves later. Later, when I have my connection back up again, I try to move my hard drive data for dark souls to the cloud, but once the move is done, an error message comes up, one that I can't really remember the text on, something about how one of
the items has failed to move. When I look on the hard drive data for dark souls again, the only thing left is the title update, but the save game data that was previously there is gone. I go onto dark souls to check if this has worked only to see that there
is no load game option on cloud saves, just new game. I try hard drive just to be sure, and get the same result. So I move the data from cloud saves back to hard drive and when it's done I check what data I have on the hard drive and sure enough there is a
saved game data on it. I try dark souls again and select hard drive and there is only the new game option, but on my storage there was clearly a saved game on hard drive. After switching the data back and forth between cloud and hard drive, restarting my Xbox
and internet and getting the same results (only the new game option on the dark souls menu) I decide, with not much else to left to try, to delete my profile (not the items on it though) and re-download it. However, a few seconds into deleting my profile,
an error message appears, stating "can't perform action, there was a problem performing that action." So I decide to simply re-download my profile, and I get another error message, "Sorry, Xbox LIVE profiles can't be downloaded right now. Try again later.
80070020" I have no idea why this is happening. At first I had thought that my dark souls save data must have been corrupt, but now I think it must be something more then that, as I can't do anything with my profile either. If anybody has any idea how to fix
this I would be grateful, as I had put over 50 hours into my dark souls game and really don't want to have to start again.

 

Your other Xbox is taking a long time to sync to the cloud

I have two xbox one consoles. I've played Dark Souls 3 on another console (at my condo). When I came back to my home, I turned on my another xbox one and failed to sync saved data from cloud. I tried so many times but all failed.

I think the save file on my xbox one at my condo might not be completely uploaded to the cloud. But how it could be? The file size is just 8.8 MB.

In addition, how can I know if the save file is uploaded completely? There is no timestamp of last sync I can check anywhere.

This is not good comparing to the sync feature on PS4 as users can manually sync save game as needed. The sync feature for save game on 360 is also better than xbox one. So, it seems I could not play Dark Souls 3 this weekend.

MS. Can you allow users to manually sync saved data? or at least allow users to check when the saved data was completely sync.

I'm having the same issue. Played the game once then it starting having this error. If I play offline I can load saves tho. Just not if I'm connected to Xbox live

 

I am having the same issue. I have my 360 still and that doesn't help as it says "Items on another Xbox are waiting to be uploaded for this game or app. To use cloud storage, sign in to the Xbox you last played on and upload the items to the cloud." referring
to my Xbox one. So I cant even start a new game. There is another forum on this where more people are having this issue with Dark Souls but i haven't got a response yet.

Sorry to hear the trouble you're having with your saved data with this game. If you haven't already, please be sure to run through all the steps in
this sticky. If none of those steps help please be sure to fill out the survey included near the end.

I have seen a few users report that deleting your in-game save and creating a new save can clear this up, although some users have reported this doesn't help. So long as you fill out the survey the appropriate teams will be made aware of this. Thanks for

Still running into problems with the cloud storage for this game. I have filled out a survey. Hopefully this will have some attention and get fixed soon.

 

i posted this on a similar thread as i managed to fix the problem but it only works if you want to start a new game.

"I managed to get this working but i had to delete my saved data to do it. When you are in the xbox 360 emulator on the xbox one you can hit the start and select button at the same time which opens the xbox 360 menu. Go down to manage storage and delete
the cloud saved data for the game. Then exit the xbox menu and continue loading the game and create a new save on the cloud and it worked fine. I turned off the xbox one and started it again and the game found the cloud data fine without error messages. Also
no issues with the online function of the game."

No Problem at all just glad i could help.

 

Power cycle the Xbox One. It stays on the whole time, so the save can't transfer properly.

 

The save was created on the XOne, then I played a little on my 360 this weekend. Then this problem happened.

I think I just lost a 30h progress deleting my cloud saving. Unless I can re-upload my partial play through from my 360 to the cloud.

 

Steve you are a life saver hahahaha a year later and im just having this problem. support didnt help me at all and this singlehandedly fixed it.
